When Every Single Cop is Chasing You

A reckless driver turned an entire city into a high-speed battleground after refusing to pull over for a routine traffic stop—triggering one of the largest police pursuits the department has seen in years, authorities say.

The chase began when an officer attempted to stop the driver for a simple violation. Instead of slowing down, the suspect hit the gas, weaving through traffic and blowing through red lights at dangerous speeds.

Within minutes, multiple units joined in.

Bodycam and dashcam footage show patrol cars flooding into the pursuit from every direction as the suspect tore across highways, residential streets, and even a construction zone. Helicopters were called in as the driver narrowly avoided several crashes.

At one point, dispatch reported nearly every available unit was involved.

The pursuit finally ended after officers deployed spike strips, shredding the vehicle’s tires and forcing it to a halt. The suspect attempted to run but was quickly tackled and taken into custody.

Police say the driver now faces a long list of charges, including felony fleeing, reckless driving, and endangerment.

What started as a simple stop turned into a chaotic chase that the department says could have ended much worse.
