‘That Girl’s Not 18’: Accused Rapist Caught with Pants Unzipped and Truck Full of Kids

Police say a disturbing traffic stop led to the arrest of an accused rapist after officers discovered a teenage girl in his truck—along with several younger children—and immediately recognized something was wrong.

The incident unfolded when deputies pulled over a pickup for erratic driving late in the evening. Bodycam footage shows the driver stepping out with his pants partially unzipped and appearing visibly flustered. As officers approached the passenger side, they spotted multiple kids inside the truck—some terrified, some confused.

One deputy can be heard saying, “That girl’s not 18,” after noticing the teen in the front seat who appeared shaken and unable to speak.

Officers quickly separated the children from the man and questioned the teen, who revealed she did not know the suspect and had been pressured into getting into his vehicle. Deputies immediately detained the driver.

A background check revealed the man was already a suspect in a separate sexual assault investigation.

He was arrested on charges including kidnapping, sexual misconduct involving a minor, and child endangerment. The children were safely turned over to their families, and the teen was taken for medical evaluation and support services.

Authorities say the fast actions of deputies likely prevented something far worse and are now urging parents to speak with their children about staying safe around strangers.
