Cop Laughs After Hitting Motorcyclist As He’s Dying

A disturbing investigation is underway after bodycam and dashcam footage allegedly showed a police officer laughing moments after striking a motorcyclist during a pursuit, according to authorities.

The incident began when officers attempted to stop the rider for reckless driving. The motorcyclist fled, leading to a brief chase through several neighborhoods. During the pursuit, one officer’s vehicle collided with the rider, sending him crashing onto the pavement.

Witnesses reported the impact was severe, and paramedics were immediately called to the scene.

But what happened next sparked outrage.

In footage now under internal review, the officer who struck the motorcycle can be heard making light-hearted comments and even laughing while the injured rider lay motionless on the ground. Other officers can be seen rushing to provide aid as the rider fought for his life.

The motorcyclist later died from his injuries at the hospital.

The department has placed the officer on administrative leave while the state investigates the crash, the officer’s actions, and whether department pursuit policies were violated.

Community members have demanded transparency and accountability, calling the footage “shocking” and “unacceptable.”
