Teen Plays Real-Life GTA… Ends Horrifically

Police bodycam and dashcam footage capture the shocking end to a reckless joyride that looked straight out of a video game — but the consequences were all too real.

Authorities say a 17-year-old stole a car and led officers on a high-speed chase through city streets, weaving through traffic, running red lights, and even clipping other vehicles in a desperate attempt to escape. Witnesses described the scene as “something out of Grand Theft Auto,” with the teen pushing the stolen vehicle to dangerous limits.

The pursuit ended when the driver lost control and crashed into a barrier, totaling the car. Officers rushed in to pull the teen from the wreckage, who miraculously survived with minor injuries.

Police later emphasized that this wasn’t a game — it was a felony. The teen now faces multiple charges, including grand theft auto, reckless endangerment, and fleeing police. As one officer said on scene, “You don’t get extra lives in real life.”
