Stolen Legos Leads to Bomb Found During Traffic Stop
What began as a routine traffic stop over stolen Lego sets turned into a shocking discovery that left officers stunned.
According to police, deputies pulled over a vehicle suspected of being involved in a string of retail thefts targeting high-end Lego collections. But when officers searched the car, they found far more than toys — including a homemade explosive device hidden under the seat.
The suspect, visibly nervous during questioning, was detained on the spot as the bomb squad rushed to the scene. Nearby roads were shut down while experts safely disarmed the device.
Investigators now believe the suspect may have been planning additional crimes, though his motives remain unclear. He’s facing multiple felony charges, including possession of stolen property, manufacturing an explosive, and reckless endangerment.
As one officer said after the incident: “You never know what you’ll find — even when it all starts with stolen Legos.”
