A woman who took to Facebook to publicly smear a local police officer learned an unexpected lesson when “karma” arrived in uniform at her front door, according to authorities.

The incident began after the woman posted a viral rant accusing an officer of misconduct during a recent traffic stop—claims the department immediately said were false. The post spread quickly, fueling outrage online.

But when investigators reviewed the officer’s bodycam footage, the truth came out.
