Predator Kidnaps Again After Release From Jail

A recently released offender is back behind bars after allegedly kidnapping another victim just weeks after walking out of jail, according to police.

Authorities say the man, who had previously served time for predatory offenses, was under supervision when he abruptly vanished from his assigned residence. Hours later, a frantic 911 call reported a young woman being forced into a vehicle in a nearby neighborhood.

Bodycam footage from responding officers shows them racing through residential streets as dispatch relayed the suspect’s description. A patrol unit eventually spotted the vehicle parked behind an abandoned building.

Officers approached with caution and discovered the victim inside—frightened but alive.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot, but police tackled and arrested him within moments. Investigators say the abduction appears to have been planned and carried out shortly after his release.

The suspect now faces charges including kidnapping, unlawful restraint, and violating parole. Police and local officials are demanding a review of how he was released in the first place.

Authorities praised the quick-thinking witness whose report led to the victim’s rescue.
